For the correct calculations to occur in the Timesheet Report, it is crucial that the user settings found in Settings: Work Schedule are correct.

Navigate to the User Management option within the Settings menu and select the relevant employee. Now open the Work Schedule option in the right hand menu.

The following settings are configurable:

  • Start using TimeTac: The date entered here will be the earliest date the users can record time from in TimeTac (dates in the past are allowed).
  • Overtime initial value: Here you can enter a value of overtime hours for an employee when they start using TimeTac (plus and minus figures are allowed).
  • Work Schedule: Choose a working time model for the employee here.
  • Work Schedule valid from: The earliest valid from date is the same as the “Start using TimeTac” date.
Before you assign a new work schedule to an employee, ensure that you select the correct starting date for this schedule
  • Public Holiday Model: Select a calendar for that employee to apply to the working time model.
  • Book working time automatically as per schedule: If activated, timestamps that match the working time model will be automatically created.
  • Allow start tasks: If activated, the user is allowed to record their own working time.
  • Automatic Task Start: If a task should be automatically started when the user logs in via a time clock, you can specify that task here.
If you change any settings relating to the work schedule, you must return to the Timesheet Report and click on the Recalculate button to ensure that the correct figures are displayed.
Settings for Public Holiday Models only apply to users of Leave Management.
