TimeTac makes it possible to define multiple regulations for overtime. The following settings are available by navigating to Settings, then User Management. Select the relevant employee and open the Time Management: Overtime Allowance, All In option from the right hand side.

  • Type: Choose between the following options:
    • No rule: Default. The Daily Balance will not change.
    • All-In Rule Active: Overtime is “cleared” at the end of the month. The daily balance is reset to 0.
    • Overtime Allowance Active: Reduces the daily balance at the end of the month by the amount of hours defined in the Overtime allowance hours field. If the overtime hours accrued are less than the Overtime allowance hours, then only those hours and no more will be subtracted from the daily balance (for example, if you set it to 10 hours, but the employee only accrued 4, those hours will be set to zero and no additional subtraction takes place). This setting can be adapted to fit the needs of your company, for example if you want to “cap” the hours (reduce only if above defined overtime allowance); in that case, please contact for more information.
  • Calculation cycle: The duration of the period before the overtime is recalculated with the parameters set here (can be set to weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly).
  • Valid from: Specify the first day that this rule should apply from. For simplicity, we suggest the first day of the month.
  • Overtime allowance hours: Amount of hours relating to the Overtime Allowance Active rule.
Overtime Allowance rules only function if the user is assigned to a work schedule.
