Once you have activated SSO for your account, TimeTac exchanges SAML SSO certificates on a predetermined basis. This ensures secure communication between TimeTac and your identity provider, such as Azure AD and Google. To maintain the SAML Single Sign-On connections, the exchanged certificate needs to be renewed periodically.
Update an expired Certificate
The following steps outline the SSO certificate renewal process:
- Login to you TimeTac account with an administrator user.
- Click on the menu Settings and then select Account Management.
- In the SSO Configuration menu option you find the details of your already existing SSO configuration.
- In order to exchange the expired certificate with a vaild one you have to downloading a new certificate from your identity provider and parse the valid certificate in into the Certificate section and then click on Update.
- Alternatively, you can choose to delete the existing SSO configuration and start from the beginning once more. Therefore click on the Deactivate button and you will be be able to configure SSO from scratch.
