You can now easily create your Client Credentials directly within your TimeTac account, granting you greater independence and control.
Client Credentials serve as a secure authentication mechanism. This ensures that our customers can access our API seamlessly, without the need for traditional usernames or passwords, enhancing their security.
Instead of these standard methods, we utilise secure tokens generated explicitly for this purpose and linked to designated users behind the scenes. This innovative approach enhances security while simplifying the user experience.
- To access your API credentials, navigate to Settings. Under User Settings select the tab API Credentials .
2. Choose a clear and distinct name for each credential to easily differentiate between various integrations, particularly if you have multiple sets. Additionally, ensure you set an appropriate expiry date for security purposes.
3. Once you’ve entered the necessary information, save your credentials by clicking Create.
4. You have successfully created your access credentials and are ready to use the API!
