You will find the Holiday
The Holiday is the central location for viewing leave entitlement, requesting holidays and checking the and . The upper section displays your current and next entitlement periods, as well as the current overtime overview, should you also be using Employee Time Tracking.
Leave Entitlement

Every employee can have their own individual entitlement which can be allocated per month or per year. To define the amount of entitlement an employees receives, please visit the Leave Management section within our Settings category.
In the current and next period sections, you can see the carried over entitlement (from the previous period), as well the current entitlement (allocated this period), minus any already consumed entitlement. These make up the value of actual entitlement.
Beneath this, the requested and approved values are deducted from this sum. The requested value represents any holiday requests that are awaiting approval by a manager, whereas the approved value represents holiday requests which have already been approved by a manager.
These, deducted from the actual entitlement, leave us with the residual leave value.
Request Leave

Click on the button to apply for annual leave. Specify the period that you would like to request. The duration will be calculated automatically, taking non-working days (such as weekends and public holidays) into account. If you wish, you can provide a comment, then simply click to finish.
If you select the same start and end date for the period, the duration field will become active. You will be able to choose between 0.25, 0.5, 0.75 and a whole day. If you select a value less than a whole day, you must also specify when the requested period should start.
Request Comp Time
Click on to apply for comp time to be used. Specify the time with the start and end dates that you would like to request. The duration will be calculated automatically according to the length of the working day as defined by the users working time model. You can leave a comment if needed, afterwards click to finish.
If you select the same start and end date for the period, you can edit the duration to request time off for only a few hours. If this value is less than the target working hours for that day, you must also specify when the requested period should begin.
Sickness

In the same manner as requesting comp time, click on the button. Specify the period of sickness and optionally provide a reason (although it is best practice to ensure you explain why you will be absent).
After submitting the request, your manager will be informed and will approve the request as per the other request types.
Other Leave Types

Other leave types constitute reasons for absence that are not included as standard leave entitlement or are not comp time. These can include, for example, maternity leave, nursing leave and even training courses. There are no entitlement amounts for other leave types; whether they are accepted and how they are agreed upon are dependent on company and national regulations.
Employees request these types of absences in the same manner to the above absence types, additionally selecting a reason for absence from the dropdown. Users and managers will receives notifications via the dashboard as with the other request types.
