To assign an employee to a department, navigate to User Management within the Settings menu. Select the employee from the list in the centre of the screen, then open the User Data option from the right hand side menu. Here you will find a dropdown entitled Department.

Sub-Departments

Create a sub-department by first selecting the parent department in the list. When clicking on the Add Department button, the new department will appear indented from the parent department.

Sub-departments allow employees within the parent department to see those within the sub-department, but do not allow those within the sub-department to see those in the parent department. This is ideal for creating management structures that can see the departments beneath them.
