Bookings Overview

bookings-overview

Bookings function similarly to appointments. You can schedule times within your calendar that represent meetings or other activities in the future. This can prove to be particularly useful when planning for more than one person, such as scheduling a time for a group conference call. The booking can be synchronised with your own calendar application and you can easily convert any bookings into timestamps if the activity went according to schedule.

Bookings appear in the Calendar in a similar manner to timestamps; the difference being the hashed appearance of the blocks display.

To see bookings, ensure that Future Bookings has been selected from the dropdown menu.

In the same manner as creating timestamps, click in the relevant area of the Calendar and select the Start Time, End Time and Task from the window that appears. You can also click and drag in the Calendar display to quickly create a booking with the desired length.

Restrictions on Bookings

Bookings can only be made for days in the future.

It is possible for a manager to prevent employees from being able to create bookings in the User Management menu.

Converting Bookings to Timestamps

If the planned booking was carried out and you would like to convert it to a timestamp, simply right-click on the booking to open the context menu. Here you will see an option labelled Create Timestamp.
